Applied Research and Development

We have significant experience in leading high value, high impact research projects involving the development of capabilities or technologies to solve real-world problems in the public and private sectors, in collaboration with academic, industry and government stakeholders.

Our previous projects have delivered custom solutions to solve complex problems in areas such as biosecurity and biothreat detection, including the development of novel and automated portable platforms for undertaking next-generation sequencing (NGS) in field locations. We have worked with public sector agencies to develop novel surveillance solutions for community-level detection of infectious agents, including the detection of pathogens at point of entry into the UK, and have developed novel methods for reliably and efficiently isolating and detecting genomic material in a variety of complex sample matrices.

We can support on bid writing, grant applications and on all aspects of project delivery including planning, methodology, sampling, testing, analysis, and reporting.
